Where do you live?
How long have you lived in Croydon?
8 years – my brother married a girl from Croydon and that brought me here in a roundabout way!
Where’s your favourite place to eat?
Tricky with lots of nice place to eat in Croydon and I love trying new food so I tend to hop about a bit. I am going to stay loyal to my south Croydon patch for this one and say La Spezia for amazing authentic Italian food in the day time and Cote D’Azur if you want something a bit more formal at night.
Where’s your favourite place to drink?
I love dropping in on Pam and the team at Crushed Bean, a cute little corner café selling top coffees and homemade cakes. I always leave smiling. In the evening you will probably find me in ‘the golden triangle’ – between The Green Dragon/The Ship/Matthews Yard and Dog and Bull.
What’s your favourite thing to do in Croydon?
Strolling and observing Croydon life, and getting on my bike for a ride up to Farleigh. Oh and going to the library. Being taken to the library as a child was a big part of my life and that love has never died.
What’s the coolest thing about Croydon?
The people: creatives, entrepreneurs and the grafters who work tirelessly and often silently to give local people a better life through community work. Croydon has a big heart.
