Where in Croydon do you live?
How long have you lived in Croydon?
Originally from Northern Ireland I moved to central London after Uni. I met a local Croydon Boy and made the move to South Croydon 6 years ago. Not looked back since!
Where’s your favourite place to eat here?
I love Matthews Yard when only a Burger will do! Boxpark if I don’t know what I fancy because there is so much choice and everything I’ve tried has been so good! If I’m going out for an evening meal then its got to be restaurant quarter in South End, Sangri or Little Bay are my two faves.
Where’s your favourite place to drink here?
It’s hard to name just one! The Dog and Bull in the Summer, you can’t get a better beer garden. I love The Oval which features in Peep Show and I had one of the best Gin and Tonics I’ve ever tasted in Yumn Boxpark! Spoilt for choice is an understatement!
What’s your favourite thing to do in Croydon?
I live a short walk to Coombe Wood Gardens. I love taking a stroll through the woods and gardens and stopping in the café, its so relaxing and doesn’t feel like you’re close to the town centre at all. There are so many great parks in and around Croydon. Its brilliant being close to countryside while still having all the best of city life!
What’s the coolest thing about Croydon?
There are so many cool things about Croydon; the Brutalist architecture, the amazing street art that’s popping up everywhere; Surrey Street market (the oldest fruit market in Europe) but the coolest is probably the people. There is so much diversity, culture and pride in Croydon and I’m loving all the good vibes!
