What part of Croydon do you live in?
East; a stone’s throw from the station.
How long have you lived in Croydon?
A year a bit…ish. I’m Southampton born and bred, but work led me to London so here I am!
Where’s your favourite place to eat in Croydon?
I LOVE Boxpark just because there’s so much to choose from! It’s great for those “I don’t mind, where do you want to eat?” dilemmas, plus they’ve usually got some great entertainment going on too. I’m particularly fond of Meat Liquor & The Noodle Bar in there.
Where’s your favourite place to drink in Croydon?
I love a craft beer so definitely Art & Craft, although I’ve recently discovered the cocktail menu at Mr Fox so there could be a battle royale for that top spot. I do like the Spread Eagle too; excellent for a beer & the football ( and a pie….always get a pie!)
What’s your favourite thing to do in Croydon?
I love photographing it; the mismatch of architecture, the street art, the people, there’s always so much going on and so much inspiration. I’m also a massive sucker for a board game so the Ludoquist is right up my street. Boxbar in Boxpark and the newly opened Phase in town are good for dancing the night away too which again I’m very partial too.
What’s the coolest thing about Croydon?
It’s such a diverse melting pot of cool, talented people. Everyone I’ve met so far has been so lovely and welcomed me with open arms; it’s such a warm & friendly place. I love that it’s its own community with a strong sense of pride outside of London, while still having that link to central should you want to explore further afield.
