What part of Croydon do you live in?
West Croydon, Broad Green

How long have you lived in Croydon?
Close to 3 years now.

Where’s your favourite place to eat in Croydon?
Boxpark has lots of great spots but one of my favourite local spots in West Croydon is Dosa & Chutney – cheap, delicious and authentic South Indian food!

Where’s your favourite place to drink in Croydon?
I don’t usually go out to drink, but my favourite drink would be a passion fruit bubble tea from Bao Bao at Boxpark who also sell amazing Bao Buns! When it comes to coffee, Triple Two is my go to. With a great discount for local employees, delicious coffee, an amazing space inside and a sunny courtyard outside; it’s hard to beat!

What’s your favourite thing to do in Croydon?
I work locally in central Croydon, and when it’s dry I enjoy traversing through the busy Surrey Street Market shopping for fruit & veg and lunch from the local food stalls. On sunny days, I head over to Queen’s Garden or Park Hill to enjoy the open space and on the wetter days, the newly refurbished Fairfield halls is a great place to sit and often has free lunch time concerts open to all!

What’s the coolest thing about Croydon?
The architecture and the art scene in Croydon is fantastic especially with a recent window display by Banksy!
Above all, the diverse range of people and cultures is what makes Croydon special, the music, the food, the ingredients and the markets all create and foster a great community. It’s no wonder Croydon has been named “Borough of Culture” by the Mayor of London for 2023! Only more exciting things to come!
