Founded in 2016 by Maddy – a local resident keen to show (off) a different side of the borough – East Croydon Cool is a community-led platform that celebrates the place we all call home.
Our mission is to help locals to meet each other, discover new places, and take pride in their postcode. Because, for us, “cool” is less about trends and more about connection.
Through positive storytelling, inclusive events, locally-inspired merch and grassroots volunteering, we champion local people, businesses and charities.
In an increasingly polarised and lonely world, we help long-standing residents and new arrivals feel better connected to the place they live and the people around them.
