Since setting up in 2016, we’ve run a wide range of events to help local people meet each other and explore Croydon’s entertainment offerings.

From 6 person meet-ups to 200 person parties, we’ve hosted hot yoga classes, immersive theatre experiences, art workshops, gin tastings, street art tours, bottomless brunches at a range of venues including Art & Craft, Basil & Grape, Boxpark, Crushed Bean, Dog & Bull, Fern, Matthews Yard, Memory Box, Signal Brewery, TMRW, The Store, Yoga Haven and Venue on Middle St.

Recent years have highlighted the pros and cons of flexible working, and have shown that having a network of local contacts (that you can rely on for social, work and practical reasons) is more important than ever before.

Whether it’s a gym buddy to keep you motivated, a hybrid worker to hot-desk with, a girl gang for local wines, a dog owner for shared walks, a freelancer with the skills to uplift your business, or a nearby neighbour to water the plants when you’re out of town – knowing the people in your local community can have a huge impact on your day to day life.

So in October 2023, we shifted to a new event format. Our new Seasonal Parties put the emphasis on bringing together a larger local crowd with great music and drinks whilst (gently!) encouraging people to get to know each other.

Our ‘Professional Minglers’ (see gallery below) are on hand to ensure no one is left standing alone in a corner (unless they want to be) and run other activities that help facilitate introductions and encourage conversations.
