Having only just opened the curtains (😉) to their beautiful new website, the Mr Fox team have also been busy working on a new event programme based around Tasting Nights.
Once a month, Croydoners will be able to experience an evening of exclusive food and drink pairings at this neighbourhood pub in the heart of Surrey Street Market. Hosted by “the world’s most innovative spirit brands and wine producers”, these events will feature custom tasting menus and a wealth of knowledge from the professionals.
To kick things off, they are marking St Andrews Day on Tuesday 30th November with a ‘Talisker Tasting and Food Pairing menu’.
Across the course of an evening, guests will explore the history of the oldest Scottish Whisky distillery in the Isle of Skye with Talisker brand ambassador, Jason Clark, and enjoy a range of dishes paired to highlight the drink’s properties.
Originally hailing from New Zealand, Jason has over 20 years’ experience working in the bar industry. In 2013, he represented New Zealand in the Diageo Reserve World Class Global Finals, (considered one of the most influential bartending events of the year) where he placed fourth. Jason spent three and half years working in Dubai, further honing his skills as a spirits ambassador for a wide range of companies including Diageo Reserve, William Grant, Rémy Cointreau and Beam Suntory, alongside activations and competitions for Ron Zacapa, Ketel One Vodka, Glenfiddich, Johnnie Walker, Hendrick’s and Makers Mark.
The evening menu includes Tempura Rock Oysters, Saddle of Rabbit, Grilled King Oyster Mushroom and Textures of Chocolate. For a more in-depth look, CLICK HERE.
Established in 1830 by two brothers, Talisker whisky is made in the oldest Single Malts Scotch Whisky distillery on the shores of the Isle of Skye. Talisker’s smell and taste instantly connect the drinker with its rugged coastal heritage, described as “a wild spirit by the sea”.
